Can I undo the rope in a weak moment?
Not quickly, and that's the point.
Loosening anything takes a 500 meter walk first, and if you've added a trusted person, a one-time code from them too. Tightening is always instant, and after a temporary loosening the rope ties itself again.
Does rerute see what I browse?
No. Blocking runs on your iPhone through Apple's Screen Time. rerute never learns which sites or apps you open. It only counts that the rope held.
Do I have to use the rope?
No. The rope is optional. Plenty of people never tie it, and the road, the wave timer and the plan work the same either way.
Is the rope enough on its own?
Rarely.
